Gracie Otto

Gracie Otto is an Australian filmmaker. She made her feature-length directing debut with the 2013 documentary The Last Impresario about prolific British theatre impresario and film producer Michael White. The film made its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival in October 2013.

ZIMMERMANN Resort 2023 Ready-To-Wear, High Tide

Presenting Resort 2023 RTW, High Tide First Look: Introducing our Resort 2023 RTW Collection, High Tide. “For this Resort season we’ve dived into all things nautical and embraced the romance of sailing. I loved looking at all these gorgeous images from the 50’s and 60’s of women on idyllic sailing holidays and tried to capture a sense of the simple elegance and holiday glow that came from our references – there’s hints of nostalgia through the collection but with a fresh and fun take. We worked with our artists to create jaunty sailboat prints, placement world maps and classic 50’s ikat florals. The mix of both liquid and sharp papery fabrics creates movement in our silhouettes, with some of the key looks opening up, almost like you’re walking through a breeze. Funnily enough I grew up sailing on a small boat with my Dad on weekends and holidays in Botany Bay in Sydney, which wasn’t particularly glamourous, and certainly not that relaxing! I think I prefer our take on a sunny holiday on the sea!” – Creative Director, Nicky Zimmermann.

Zimmermann Fall 2022 Ready-To-Wear, Stargazer

“For our Fall collection we found inspiration in the stars. There’s always been something so fun and intriguing to me about pop astrology and the idea that our personalities are influenced by our birth signs. We worked with artist @anitainverarity on twelve key prints that represent each sign of the zodiac and have incorporated these across a variety of looks throughout the collection. We wanted it all to feel really eclectic with a sense of fun. We picked up the symbols and icons of the zodiac in our detailing and finishes and there’s a conscious clash of fabric textures in each look. It’s a collection that’s high on finer details. Maybe that’s a bit of the Virgo in me coming through!” – Creative Director, Nicky Zimmermann.
